1) Head to Juneteenth Fest- An Outdoor Event at  Community Actor's Theatre

Mark your calendars for The First Annual Juneteenth Wellness Festival presented by The Yoga Bus, A day dedicated to uplifting the Black Community by sharing creativity, celebrating culture, educating on a wellness + fostering togetherness.


3) annual Juneteenth Celebration Virtual 5K Run/Walk/Bike

On Saturday, June 19th, 2021, join the We Are Run Series and Fit, Black, and Educated, Inc. for our annual Juneteenth Celebration Virtual 5k run/walk. This event commemorates June 19th, 1865, the date when the last remaining Black American slaves in the Confederacy were emancipated, effectively marking the end of chattel slavery in the United States. Join us from wherever you are to celebrate a new beginning and reflect on this historic day.




4) AXIS: fifth annual Juneteenth Celebration performance


The Old Globe, in collaboration with the George L. Stevens Senior Center, will present the fifth annual Juneteenth Celebration performance presented as part of the Center’s annual Juneteenth festival event. Audiences are invited to join the celebration on Saturday, June 19 from 12:00 noon to 1:15 p.m. in the Globe’s outdoor Lowell Davies Festival Theatre. This year’s event will feature a cabaret presentation of artists, including the San Diego Black Artist Collective, all sharing performance pieces inspired by the annual holiday.




5) Sounding Boards x Nomad: Outdoor Gallery Opening



Celebrate San Diego’s newest public art project, Use Your Voice, organized by Sounding Boards and Nomad Donuts! The SB x Nomad outdoor gallery will debut with work by Josue Baltazar, Kenda Francis, Mary Jhun, Jon Pucci, and rotate regularly to display a diverse group of California artists.
